Häggsta and Örnberget are among Stockholm’s most appreciated climbing crags.
Just near Flottsbro, you’ll find two of Stockholm’s best outdoor climbing areas. Häggsta, located right next to Flottsbro, is suitable for climbers of all levels, while Örnberget, a bit further away, is more suited to advanced climbers.

Climbing at Häggsta
Häggsta is one of Stockholm’s most classic climbing areas, situated by Lake Albysjön in Huddinge. The crag mainly offers traditional climbing, with over 180 routes, some reaching up to 40 meters in height. From higher sections, you can enjoy stunning views over the lake.
The cliff is made of gneiss and has a south-facing wall that dries quickly, making it ideal for spring and autumn climbing. For beginners, there are top-rope-friendly sections such as Rampväggen, while experienced climbers can challenge themselves on longer, more exposed routes. The area is family-friendly, with grassy spaces for play and picnics, and also allows for camping. Häggsta is about a 20-minute walk from Flottsbro, or you can drive and park at St. Botvid’s Chapel.

Climbing at Örnberget
Örnberget is one of Stockholm’s premier sport climbing areas, with over 170 routes, mostly for advanced climbers.
Located on the eastern shore of Lake Tullingesjön, the crag features two main walls – one west-facing and one steeply overhanging south wall, 20–25 meters high. The first free route was established in 1982, and the area has since expanded with around fifty routes. The cliff offers technically demanding climbing, even in damp conditions.
From Flottsbro, you can walk here through beautiful natural surroundings. If driving, park at the boat club – a gravel lot located on the left side of the road, 200 meters before the cliff. Address: Tullinge strand 36.
