Safety: guidelines & regulations
Follow our rules – ride smart and safe!
We believe great riding is all about balancing adrenaline with responsibility. Here you’ll find the rules you need to know, along with helpful tips to make your day on the trails better – not just for you, but for everyone in the park.
SLAO’s Little Green Book
You are responsible for knowing and following both Flottsbro’s and the Swedish Ski Area Organization’s rules, which are outlined in SLAO’s Little Green Book. We reserve the right to revoke your lift pass or ask you to leave the area if you violate our terms – without refund.
Flottsbro Bike Park is more than just a downhill facility – it’s a place where you grow as a cyclist. So ride with your brain, your heart, and your helmet. Welcome to an unforgettable day on the trails!

Things to keep in mind before hitting the trails
Warm up & wind down
- Start your day with a few easy runs – warm up both your body and your mind.
- Check trail conditions: Did it rain overnight? Are there leaves or gravel on the trail? Conditions can change quickly.
- Fatigue is a rider’s worst enemy. Take breaks before your body demands them.
- Don’t take risks you’re not ready for. It’s better to build up your technique gradually than to push past your limits.
Your gear – your responsibility!
- Full-face helmets are mandatory to ride in the Park. We also strongly recommend back, elbow, and knee protection.
- Make sure your bike is in good condition before riding the lift – ask our staff if you’re unsure. Tools are available at the rental station.
- We recommend bikes with a suspension travel of over 150mm.
Read before riding – Good to know rules
- All riding is at your own risk. Adjust your speed and line to your ability and the day’s conditions. Flottsbro is not responsible for damage to bikes or gear on the trails or during lift transport.
- Minors may only ride with, or with written consent from, a legal guardian.
- Do not stop where visibility is low – such as behind crests, just after turns, or in narrow sections.
- Want to pass someone? Speak first, show respect, and pass safely.
- Respect trail closures and signs!
- When the lift is closed, the trails are too – vehicles, staff, and equipment may be on the trails.
Lift passes are required and personal.
We do not allow:
- The use of alcohol or drugs in the park. Intoxicated or impaired individuals will be asked to leave.
- Littering is prohibited. Respect nature – don’t leave trash behind. Waste bins are placed throughout the park.
- Pets on lifts or trails? Sorry, your four-legged friends need to stay at home.

The fastest way to get into Stockholm is by car. Do you have a motorhome or do you feel uncomfortable driving in Stockholm? Then you can park your car in the parking garage “Forellgaraget” by Huddinge Centrum. From Huddinge, take the commuter train into town.
Ask our staff about the itinerary and parking on arrival.
It is also possible to go by bus to Huddinge Centrum, see description of bus routes and times here: https://www.flottsbro.se/en/about-us/directions-parking/
Yes, there are charging stations both in the external parking area and at the campsite.
There are many barbecue areas at Flottsbro, and during the winter we provide firewood. Just let one of our lift attendants know, and they will help you.
On beautiful winter days, we often reach maximum capacity, which means there may be queues at the rental shop. To avoid waiting too long, we recommend booking your equipment online no later than 6:00 PM the day before your visit.
Yes, we have a packed-lunch room with a microwave that accommodates around 50 people. On beautiful winter days when we have many visitors, the room can get full, so please be considerate of others.
Please note that you are not allowed to eat your own food in the restaurant’s dining area, as that space is reserved for paying guests.
The ski resort opens on Friday 9 January at 5:00 PM. See our opening hours for details.
Yes, all our cabin types are dog-friendly. Just add the pet fee (250 SEK) when booking, and your four-legged friend is more than welcome!
All cabins are child-friendly, with no stairs or level differences. Stepping straight out into nature instead of Stockholm city offers a calmer and more affordable option for families with children.
Yes, we have five hiking trails at Flottsbro. You can see the map here.
